A small selection of images from my portrait series of Madame Alice De Borgher.

I met Alice a couple of years ago; she lived above my parents-in-law in Porte de Clignancourt, Paris. Alice lived to 101, and even in her later years she remained deeply engaged with her local community and passionately involved in political life.

Having lived through World War II and as part of the French Resistance, she carried countless incredible stories, many of which I have captured in a short documentary that will eventually sit alongside these photographs..
